Welcome to the first bonus comic in the history of Fantasy Qwest! Chapter 1, The Search for the Plot!!! (Creator loves those exclamation points!), will start Thursday.

Most of the comics you've seen so far are actually quite old. Many of them, including this one, were first made over two years ago. Between then and now we have had to edit them significantly, both to alter Vic's sprite (the original looked far too much like a certain well-known sprite comic character) and to decrease the overall size of the comic. The original comics were so large, they wouldn't fit on a 1024X768 screen! Fortunately I convinced Creator to shrink the comics. Unfortunately, the shrinkage of the comics (we are poor and have to use MS Paint to make the comic.) caused some distortion in the graphics, which has been corrected as best as possible. It also has forced the changing of some of the dialogue (including the line Authorman mentioned in the last rant) in order to fit in the smaller space. Overall, however, I am pleased how all the comics so far have turned out.

If you like the bonus comic, note for your pleasure that Chapter 1 comics will feature even nicer backgrounds. Wait until you see Episode 8 on Thursday, Creator just finished it and I am really personally impressed. I command you to view it, for you will be pleased!

Ah yes, I remember this little jewel. I also remember writing it, and seeing it get done. However, I also remember the civil wars that were only slightly averted because of this comic. As DGC says, many of these comics are quite old, many predating his involvement with the comic. To make a very long story short, name credits became an issue, which almost crashed and burned the comic. So in all future Fantasy Qwests all of us will get name credit no matter the involvement. Def-con 4 has been avoided. You may all resume your everyday lives.

Something that has been pissing me off recently is Not-Quite-Jordan's Trial. Only a pre-lim hearing has happened and this has gotten top billing on every news program out there. I remember last week flipping channels and hearing

Goddamn it! Get your fucking heads out of your ass and report fucking news! CNN, MSNBC, FOX News are all a bunch of fucking rejects not worthy of a high school newspaper. What happened to journalism?! They're spending hours on rumors!

Why not report that "Gulf War Syndrome" is caused by radiation from spent uranium shells. Or that our Fearless Leader forged documents and lied to Congress and to the American people, to start a fucking war. Clinton may have lied about getting his winky wet, but damn it he didn't lie to start a fucking war! If Clinton got impeached and censored, then Dubya should be impeached and put up on trial for murder. Murder of the proud men and women of our military who made it back in wooden boxes. I'm a proud American, and I want vengeance as much as any other red-blooded American, but I want vengeance against the right people.

Today is my birthday! A few comments.

1. Authorman has wounded my pride with his comments! I would like to state for the record that this comic would never have seen the light of day if I hadn't put in a great deal of effort reworking and rewriting a good number of the old comics, as well as doing several other things critical to the success of this comic. If not for me, Creator and Authorman would have kept fighting each other mercilessly and nothing ever would have gotten online. When I first saw the early comics, I saw a thing of genius. I knew from the first sight that these comics had to be shown to the public; they were far to good not to be. The important thing is the comic, not individual credit for each and every line. Therefore, we decided to stop marking each episode with the "Episode written by" below the copyright.

2. I strongly agree with the other things Authorman said. If you feel the same way, I suggest visiting Dean for America.

3. If you were trying to email me by clicking on the links in the old comics (unlikely, but hey, you never know), there was a typo in my address. This has been corrected in this and future posts. Eventually I'll fix the old posts as well.

4. Chapter 1 is going to kick ass. Stay tuned.
